Analisis Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Kejadian Hipertensi di Rumah Sakit Panti Nirmala Kota Malang Tahun 2020

Abstract

Hypertension is still a health problem in the world, in Indonesia it is the highest cause of death compared to other diseases. The factors associated with hypertension are smoking, obesity and stress levels. Efforts to treat hypertension include quitting smoking, controlling stress and eating a healthy diet. The research objective was to determine the factors that influence the incidence of hypertension in Panti Nirmala Hospital, Malang City. The design of this study used a correlation analytic survey with a cross sectional approach and the sampling used purposive sampling. The sample of this study was 30 patients at Panti Nirmala Hospital, Malang City in March 2020. The research instrument used a questionnaire and data analysis using the Binary Logistic Regression test. The results showed that almost half of the BMI of respondents (40%) were over weight, most of the smoking habits (63.3%) were smoking, the stress level was mostly (66.7%) moderate and most of the respondents (56.7%) had hypertension. The analysis results showed that obesity has no effect on the incidence of hypertension (0.040 <0.05) and stress has an effect on hypertension (0.040 <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that smoking habits and stress levels affect the incidence of hypertension. Suggestions that can be recommended for hypertensive patients to stop smoking and to control stress so as to prevent complications of hypertension. Keywords: Obesity, smoking, stress, hypertension
